How to find your way around the areas

Salerno is made up of areas with different characters: the Historic Center concentrates nightlife and shops; the Seafront and Port are built for walks and tourism; neighborhoods like Torrione, Pastena, Mercatello, or Fratte are more residential and rich in everyday services.

On SalernoGo each business shows the area where it operates. This helps both those looking for a service near home and visitors who want to avoid unnecessary travel. Use area pages or filters in search.

Historic Center and Seafront

The Historic Center suits food, events, small shops, and professionals with a downtown office. The Seafront is useful for tourism-related businesses, outdoor sports, bars, and neighborhood services along the coast. If you want a “postcard” experience, start from these two areas and then widen your search.

Watch the hours: on weekends the center can be busier. Always contact the business before you show up, especially for tables, professional appointments, or bookable services.

Torrione, Pastena, Mercatello, and Fratte

These areas are often chosen by people who live in Salerno year-round. Here you find gyms, professional offices, home services, and neighborhood shops. If you are looking for a personal trainer, a lawyer, or a recurring service, filtering by area saves time.

Fratte and inland areas can be convenient if you drive or need businesses with easier parking than downtown.

How to use SalernoGo by area

Open the page for the area you care about, read the introduction, and scroll through listed businesses. If results are few, expand to “All areas” or change category. You can also search by keyword (e.g. “plumber Pastena”) and then filter.

Areas with fewer listings will grow over time: if you know a good business, invite the owner to register for free. The more complete listings we have, the more useful the community becomes for everyone.
